It is under the administration of Chifeng City, to the south-southeast. ==Climate== Linxi County has a dry, monsoon-influenced humid continental climate (Köppen ''Dwb''), with very cold and dry winters, hot, somewhat humid summers, and strong winds, especially in spring.
